People:Me & my dad
Duration:12:30 until 19:15
Tide:High at 15:15.
Weather:1 day after 1st Quarter, Light S/SE breeze, 10 Degrees Celcius, dirty water, fairly regular medium sized waves, a tiny light drop of rain at the end of the day.
Bait:Fresh lug.
Rigs:2 hook paternoster with 3 to 4 oz grip leads.
Results:My dad blanked because he's more of a walker than an angler. I caught 1 bass, 2 coalfish and 2 flounder.
Report:I was fishing from a pier first. I fished on the pier from about 12:30 until 14:30. There was barely a recognisable bite from there. The beach looked more promising due to the water movement so we decided to move. I don't know whether it was the change of location or just because of the time of day but once we hit the beach the fish started hitting the baits. A nice day out with a surprise pristine winter wexford bass!
