wow dont know what to say about the state there in but i was there last year on the 1st of january for me birthday and fished for 5 hours and caught not one single thing. twas -8 that day. horrible to see fish like that and well i do remember a local telling us that "people" ye know whom they are, are ruining the fishing there and I also remember beer cans along the wall there at the pier
father says that the first pic that ye have there looks more like a brown trout or salmon

the first pic is a slamon, the smaller fish are mostly pollock with what looks like even a haddock thrown in and in the 2nd pic it looks like some game bird(pheasent?) in the foreground...looks to me like someones freezer packed it in and they decided to empty the contents off the nearest pier...im gonna be stereotypical here and blame the eastern europeans

dont think any of those fish were caught off glin pier anyway

The bird looks more like a curlew

some freezers dont work in very cold conditions especially fridge freezers i,d say someone emtied out theirs after discovering the contents where soft

not a great way of disposing of it ,the bin or a good lob off the end of the peir then at least the crabs would clean up the mess

leaving stuff in plastic bags is the lazey way

Disgusting is what it is. It might well have been to contents of a freezer, but the owner of that freezer was an angler, of that there can be very little doubt. I would not be so far to blame no nationals though, the presence of the pheasant seems to point to someone with a gun and I doubt there are many non nationals with the shot gun.
Best regards Wez

i agree there is no excuse for the pastic bag and the bird but if fish has to be wasted for whatever reason it is better to through it into the sea than into the bin. Then in a small way the ecosystem get something out of it, something will get a meal out of it. i understand that this probably was not the thinking of the person who done this!
If you are gona keep a fish for the table i think its better gutting, de-heading etc on the shore and through the waste into the sea, you will also avoid a smelly bin this way
