Shortest Trip ever

I haven’t been fishing in about 6 weeks due to work, weather and other various tomfoolery, so on Saturday I checked the weather and tide tables and everything looked perfect for a spot of Sunday afternoon fishing. Spent Saturday afternoon sorting out my gear, bait, clothing etc, and had everything sat at the back door ready to go. Got up late on Sunday morning had a nice breakfast and got dressed, strapped the bag and rods to my motor bike, got the bait out of the freezer, sorted out a flask of tea, finished putting on all my outer wear, helmet, gloves coat and boots and headed off. Threw my leg over the bike, took it off the centre stand and started to pull off. It was at this point I noticed the rear tyre was flat. Stropped back into the house, threw everything at my arse by the back door and went back to bed in a huff and watched Star Trek all afternoon. Even Q asking Work if he’s eaten any good books lately couldn’t cheer me up.

I was gutted
