People:Me
Duration:4.5 hours
Tide:2 hours either side of LW
Weather:Frosty morning, then rain
Bait:Lug
Rigs:2 hood flappers with lots of shiny bits
Results:Flounder
Report:Left for Wexford at 3.00 am with flounder in mind. Planned to arrive for dawn and fish either side of low water. Into fish from the start with the best fish coming in the first hour. Fish came steadily until about 1.5 into the flood when it really started to push and the fishing went dead for the last 45 mins or so. In all 13 or 14 flounder with best going 42 cms. Forgot to weigh him so any guesses at the weight of a chunky 42 cm flounder welcome. He came in a double with a smaller mate.

Any advance on 1.5 to 1.75. Felt over 2 to me. Maybe just wishful thinking.

myself and chris had 2 good flounder yesterday - his was 40cm and 1lb 7oz, but thin
mine was 36cm and fat - he was 1lb 8oz - so its so hard to tell the weights on length
nice fish by the way

Hi Francis,
I thought you had left the country mate.....hadn't read one of your posts in a while.
I see you are still keeping strange hours but reaping the rewards!
That's a nice flounder bet it give you a good thump.
What's next on your list?

Hi Stevie
Still running about. Concentrating on the flounder for another while. Want to see if i can get a really big one. Maybe a go at the codling as well. Just a pity work gets in the way.
