Rigs:ALLSORTS!!!

Results:flounder,codling,doggies and whiting

Report: We arrived in almost pitch dark and set up 2 rods each with a variety of baits, just to test the waters.Almost immediately ginger (graham :) ) was into a small whiting, which seemed to be the order of the day for him but mick wasnt far behind with codling, whiting and a small flounder. I stood by quietly and watched on as the lads kept count against each other and mick constantly reminding graham that it was quality not quantity that mattered as Graham seemed to have a whiting magnet attached to his line!!! As far as I remember Graham had announced his 6th whiting before I even got a bite. The blank wasnt the furthest thing from my mind as we had been fishing for about 1 1/2 or 2 hours by this stage. I finally reeled in a fine 26cm flounder on rag. As I unhooked him I saw he had a mouthful of squid/prawn so just to see what would happen I tipped off a lug bait with the same squid and within about 5 minutes had my best whiting of the night  . Things went pretty quiet for a while with Mick suggesting a change to the north beach which judging by the other report would have been a good move but we sat tight. After that all three of landed doggies.I lost another two doggies just as I was beaching them :x .Graham had the best one but Mick landed probably the smallest dogfish i have ever seen.Only about 30 cm in total and very skinny :?: :?: Mick also had the best flounder of the night on peeler/lug at 31 cm. Didnt feel like a good session at the time, we were kinda hoping for decent cod/coalie.................tope !!!!! but looking back it was a decent tally.
3 doggies
2 codling to 28cm
3 flounder to 33cm
over 15 whiting to near the 30 cm mark
Oh yes and 2 hooks and half of the snood length taken off of the lads rigs, in close, within a few minutes of each other....with no noticeable sharp pull or take ?????

Ps. Although Mick remembered to bring the camera from the house.....he didnt remember to bring it from the car so no pics
