lifted thomas and we headed to lenen to meet up with tom, when we got there it would have skinned you it was that cold. so all the gear was quickly set up and rods cast out, think it was just a few minutes later when my rod started knocking and i landed a small coalie

(blank saved), after that we were getting the odd knock but no hook ups, think tom had one or two drop off on the way in. after a while cathal and young dilan landed down and got set up to the left handside of us, at this stage the fishing was fairly slow with just an occasional knock every now and then, and the freezing wind would have cut you in half

but with the kettle whistling and hot ta' and coffee on the go, we were happy enough. cathal then pulled in a doggie, then it was toms turn with a doggie, the knocks on the rods were now getting more frequent, and this got us back on our toes again. thomas then pulled in a coalie witch was followed with one from dilan. at this stage we were all getting good rattles and the coalies were coming in, dilan then pulled in a nice flounder of 29cm, witch was nice to see a different species being got. but we were all happy enough with the coalies for at least we were all catching something. but have say, man of the match has to go to young dilan, for at the end up he was wiping them out steady

about an hour before we left a car came down onto the pier and sat behind us for a few minutes, it then moved on down the pier, and someone fired a shotgun out the window killing a seagull

they then spined the wheels and took off up the road. shortly after these eejits left we started to pack up for the cold wind was getting to much, even tho we were well wrapped up the cold was still getting to us. but we still had a good day and the usual banter, stories and jokes were great
