Report:
Made a special effort to get down and dig worms at 7am this morning, got enough for a session in about an hour then came home to get the gear sorted and a spot of breakfast.
Made it to the Dee at 10.30am and got the gear set up... My visions of a hectic session soon disappeared when I saw the water was a Chocolate brown colour, due to 2 solid nights of North Easterly and a lot of Dredging around the harbour area recently.
Started picking up a few coalies on the loop rig at distance, and also had a couple under my feet on my mini rod. The fish were covered in Specals and were a very light grey colour for coalies, maybe its just the time of year but these coalies were weird. 2 Bigger Coalies had the proper darker backs but the smaller fish were very, very light.
The 2 Wrasse came from the distajce rod and made their presence known, fighting the whole way in...
Nice to get out during a break in the weather and looking foreword to getting out again soon!

fair play drew on getting out - i know what you mean about the speckles - you sometimes see a pink sheen off them - see it on the whiting also

I've also seen it on Pollack, Not sure whether the pigmentation changes when they're in the dirty water or not....
