Duration:8:30 til 12:00
Tide:falling
Weather:overcast
Bait:squid, mackerel
Rigs:2 hook flapper, float
Results:varied(zil,nothing,zilch)
Report:decided as it was the last day of half term that we would do a spot of fishing to pass some time. arrived there and got the rigs baited up. we tried all combinations of bait but none seemed to work. any advice would be much appreciated as we are hoping to return in the future.

Worms are the answer mate. Get down onto a beach with decent lug beds and get yourself some dug.

I'm too farmiliar with up there, Have you tried digging down at the Beach below the Swan Hole? You're looking for squiggly casts in the sand...

donaghadee is an absolute waste of time these days

It'll still fish well for the wrasse til mid November, Coalfish in the Mid 20's to Mid 30cm range will be there for quite some time yet.... Fish for Dogs with standard baits over the back wall, You'll pick up flounder when you fish onto the sand. Codling fishing is non existant after the dredging last year.
But generally, I'd never say Donaghadee was a waste of time, there's always something to keep the rods nodding.

I have to agree with Drew on this one. The Dee is rarely a waste of time.

why not try somewhere up the antrim coast from torr head/red bay area right round to benone strand. . .some good fishing up there. . .portstewart to benone will produce flatties, dogs, bass, sea trout. . . .just be careful of the tide and the waves
has anyone fished kilkeel????
