Arrived at the Pier Shortly before Noon baited up my 1st rod with mack and rag lookig for Ray and with the 2nd decided to try for some Mack as reports from Friday and reported loads around the Pier.
Just after 2pm aSwarm of Bait fish appeared below the pier followed by shoal of mack chasing them. I was 1st of the Mark catching 3 using in a row using a pink trace Paul soon followed using a green feather trace. But the people having the most success was the 2 Polish fellows using muppet traces pulling 3 and 4 at a time this lasted for 20 mins then it all went quiet. Mean while a reeled in my ground bait to find t untouched. :
The mack returned again chasing the bait fish just after 3 got another 6 mach and paul got the same the pattern repeated it self right up till about 7pm with Paul catching his last mack on a float rig.
All this time my baited rig lay on the bottem not movig once Then just after 7.30 a knock the doggies arrived and in the next 30 minutes i landes 4 Paul was now catching Pollack on the float with rag. It was very cold by now and we decided one last cast. Ater 15 minutes pulled in the 1st rod and while i was putting it a way the 2nd road fell, i ran and grabed it and then followed a 15 minute fight of me try to land what i thought was a rather large doggie when we eventually got it on the pier and it took Paul to help me get it over the railings we where not so sure it was a doogie and the gentleman oppiste us told us we a small tope.
So ended a very interesting day on the pier.
