Report:

was well set with the big plan of action in my head, paid a visit to a local supply shop, and got a tip of a producing mark, so headed down at low tide to get idea of rocks seaweed sand banks. arrived home to load up the gear and got hit with the dreaded words, 'sure we'll go down for the spin'. what can you say but ok.

Plan was to head down about 4pm and fish thwe incoming tide at this mark. no such luck after a lot of choice words from me we got uderway at 6, hit the mark at 6.30 turning tide, I spent the next 20 minutes setting up 3 rods for the ladies, got my own set up to live it on the rocks and redo one remove a birds nest, and free the rocks from my other halfs grip.
cast in my first of the night and the sister crossed my line and snagged her line and mine.
to hell with the mark, 'girls pack up were heading to my favorite spot'

moved to my usual spot on the west coast of donegal, got the girls set up again, my first cast, mackeral straight up. followed quicklyt by to pollock, thinking to my self great idea to move location, the other half turns around and says 'i'm stuck', right at this stage I had been out 3 hours and fished about 10 minutes, so I handed her my setup and went to free her line, only to jump down of a 2 foot wall to smash my ankle in bits. I knew from the crack it wasn't good. but she's standing laughing hard at me. I must say my return comments are not fit to be published, so she set about using my setup, to straight away snag it. more choice words from me, and they got the message I needed time to me. SO I hung around about another 30 minutes landing the biggest pollock of the night. I headed home happy that I got at least 30 mintues good fishing. home with the dinner sat down with beer in hand to realise my ankle hurt like hell, I mean it really hurt, removed the shoe and sock, swollen like a balloon and black. so away to a and e for an xray at 1.30am, luckly not broken but made a mess of the ligaments,, so that was all saturday night, its now wednesday mornign early and I still can't drive home, think i'll fish the morning tide before I finally hit the road home.
