Went to a mark I know well tonight straight after work, bit of a swell but still looked good.Got set up immediately and on sixth cast got hit by a steam train, Bass on and gave a good scrap really accounting for itself. Got it onto the rock I was standing on, leant down to unhook him, and he shook the lure just as the next wave came over the rock, quick shake of the tail and gone... gutted he was about 6lbs

. gathered myself after much swearing ... that's two nights in a row I've lost a good bass

and consoled myself with the thought that there's more out there. After about 5 minutes connected with a smaller bass about 45 cm landed quick photo and back into the briney. Couple more casts another bass same stamp as the last.About ten minutes later third bass landed slightly bigger about 52 cm, he was deep hooked and didn't make it.The next 20 minutes were quiet enough a few small pollock then decided to switch lures, put on an old favourite and casted out slightly further on the other side of the mark. Second cast got busted by what must have been a stonker of a bass, took a lot of line and turned back to sea, next thing the line went slack, I reeled in minus lure

, reckon it was rubbed off rocks and just snapped. The joys of plugging for Bass!!
Fished on for another while, few more small pollock, but with the tide nearly at HW and looking like I might not get off the mark safelyand light failing decided to pack up and head home. Enjoyed myself but gutted at losing a couple of good Bass and an excellent lure.Few photos below, one not great flash didnt work.
