Duration:Fished from 18:45 until about 22:15

Weather: Cool, dry, very light Northerly (I think!) breeze, 2 days after full moon, a bit of a choppy sea that looked fairly coloured.
Bait: Fresh rag
Rigs: 2 hook paternoster with 4 oz grip weights
Results: Nothing.
Report: We fished to the left (as you're looking out to sea) of the RNLI boat house at Courtown harbour. Arriving straight from work in Ballsbridge I admit it was a lazy decision on location. I also fished a bit lazily. I gave up when my brother lost his second rig (I look after him while fishing and he's 28!) that I wasn't in the humour of replacing. I was using a multiplier for my first time, I was glad to get that out of the way. I did get a couple of half decent bites during the session and also one stonker of a bite on my first cast which left the rod literally dancing up and down on the rod rest (which was a public bench in this instance!). I ran and pulled into it but alas there was nothing on the end. This being my first sea fishing session in about 5 or 6 weeks I was disappointed not to catch anything. A dogfish would have even been welcome!
