Day One
Bait for the 3 days was Sandeels, Mackeral and Herring fillets….for the three days that I fished I miss-timed all the tides except for the first, which was at Panrocks, Ballycastle “photo taken from beside car park @ edge of dark” here I was targeting blind dogs, all was going well until some fool who insisted on casting over me on every second cast even when he turned his back he still done it aaaaaahhhhhh….this was between 5 – 7pm so packed up and returned to base, which is just round the corner… I returned later the same nite to the beach just in at the foot of Pan Rocks and ended up feeding crabs to the point where I was re-baiting every five minutes.

Day Two
Ballintoy,,,,,,sorry no photo for here but the litter that was lying about was a bloody eye sore and all left by a couple of lazy gits of anglers.
Any way,,,,fished here from 2-5pm at the last of the ebbing tide and into slack water I think the crabs that I had feed on the previous night had followed me to Ballintoy again that was it!!!!!! 8pm and I decided to give Cusendun a run, first stop the beach,,for once I out smarted the crabs as they were some where else along with the fish, after about an hour I moved to the rock side / town end of the beach and fished towards the out let pipe and surprised myself with one small cod, end day two.

Fair Head
This was a mark that I seen last year and always said I would return to it, only coming from the cliff down rather than walk across the shore, I arrived at the Fairhead car park at 2:30pm and started to walk and carrying all in the rod bag “note photo” + small bottle of water and bait in the small cooler not in photo, these cliffs are 180mtr tall and have no paths as such? 2 hours later I got to the fish mark, nice walk if you are a goat and not carrying fish’en tackle, so I give myself to 6pm to fish here using both rods and trying all I could in the short time available which again proved to be fish-less……I think there is fish here, but would need more time to experiment with tides light baits etc,,,,by the time I returned to base it was near 8pm, I did find a short cut up the cliffs back to the motor but left a lot of skin on sharp things hide in the ferns,,,,, ah well that’s it…………nice pics ???????
Ooohhhhh foot note! rods used for Fair Head
