People: Me, Gary, David and Richard

Duration: 6pm-11pm

Tide: High tide around 6ish

Weather: Glorious

Bait: Lug, Mackerel and sand eel

Rigs: Everything

Results: 1 Doggie, 5 Pollock

Arrived just as high tide peaked and got talking to a few boys who where fishing from midday. They said that they had caught 1 fish between them, straight away our confidence dropped!! We headed on down the beach anyway to a wee spot and set up the rods. Dave who hadn't been fishin for 5 years or so hit on his first cast, a wee pollock then his second cast another wee pollock. Confidence rose again straight away!!

Things went quiet again for an hour or so then gary hit another wee pollock spinning to pass the time!

I was thinking that i was gonna blank again when all of a sudden i got a wee knock and pulled in a wee pollock!! At least I never blanked this time (makes a change lol)

We where considering packing up as things slowed again around 10ish and were considering calling it a night when all of a sudden Garys rod got a big knock and he reeled in his first ever Doggie!!! Ended up staying for another hour or so with a few more pollock for our efforts

Good night all round!!!
