Report:headed for the pier both evenings to see if I could get a few more mackerel to stock the freezer, bites were very slow,on the 25th had the bait rod out and tried for mackerel with the other rod but the mackerel were hard to find, tried for conger for awhile with no luck, had 2 dogs on the bait rod

on the 26th the wife and son came with me so it was only going to be a short session,I didn't bother with any bait I just tried the feathers and on one cast when I had the feathers near the shore I spotted a flounder go for the feathers and then go back down so I just dropped the feathers and jigged them up and down and felt a bite and reeled in this lad

I didn't think flounder would go for a mackerel feather without bait on it,after the flounder had one mackerel before I headed home

that's interesting,I thought it was strange he went for the feather I will have to try the mini sabikis myself
seeing that dogfish and bull huss look so much alike I wonder do they inter breed,is there a hybrid of the 2
