[b]Report meet up with tom at the fort and we got ourselves set up at the side of one of the gun bunkers out at the point, weather didn't seem to bad at this point, but about half an hour in and all hell let lose with the wind

tom had to grab the tripod as it was about to take off

but we kept at it and i got a very good rattle on my rod but no hook up, then tom landed a wee three breaded rockling. after that the wind got unbearable, it was blowing right into our faces, when you cast out your lead the wind stopped it dead and it just dropped. so a quick change was called for and wee decided to move into the small bay to our left, at least here we could get a bit of cover from the wind. fishing was very slow to say the least, but tom pulled out another two rocklings and i lost what felt like a nice fish, he dived right down into the kelp and i lost him, tom then pulled in a small conger witch dropped off just as it had cleared the water

so it was a quick dive down the rocks to get him before he entered the water, got him gripped by the bottom jaw and got him back up the rocks to tom, a quick photo and he was released back to the water. things got really quiet after that, and with the wind not easing at all we decided to call it a day and head home for the grub....
