Report:Arrived down to the beach super weather the tide was only starting to turn and the sea was flat calm. There was a strong current taking everything left.Second cast and i had a good bite i picked it up to feel a half descent fish on i quickly reeled it in because with the current and the fish darting left i was nearly under daves skirt!I got him to shore and it was a nice unexpected hound(40 yard cast with the tide very low)after a few misses dave hooked into what he felt was a double figured fish because he was fighting like a pig

!it was only forthy yards out i thought it was a bass and got excited i nominated myself to help him hand line it when it got close which took a while he was a dead weight kicking but not like your usual hound. He got him 15 yards in and bang he was gone the hook line broke!i blamed a shabby trace but it could have been my rapest hands malling the line.A couple hounds later and we descided to call it a nite it was weird as it became dark the fish went quite. We had a good crack and the interest is always there especially when the big one got away.
