Tide:17:13 4.5m

Weather:lovely

Bait:lug sandeel mackerel

Rigs:3 hook flapper

Results:1 ballen wrasse




Report:I headed out to dig some lug but the tide was higher then I thought,still I managed to get a few
I didn't have time for a long session so headed to a small pier and dropped a line in,missed a few bites and then landed my first ballen wrasse this year

had to head home shortly after that but did meet a lad from the site and got a great bit of information on the gunner and mini species before I left,thanks for that tom :D

thanks martin,when you are over i will see what i can do about the wrasse,great fight from them :D by the way you can get cod from the pier as well :D

thanks al looking forward to getting a few more wrasse,I would love to get a Cuckoo Wrasse or some of the other wrasse species

well man, if you ever venture over to the co. down or antrim coast we'd be more than happy to take you to the spots we get the corkwing, goldsinny, cuckoo and rockcook wrasse at :P

thanks al I might have to take you up on the offer some time,I know where to find them down here but at the moment they are being very uncooperative they don't seem to want to be hooked and pulled out of the water for a photo

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: how very unconsiderate of them :lol: :lol: . i took dawsey to a mark i've fished loads of times the other day and he got his first rockcook wrasse the jammy git and i've been trying for one for the last 4 years unsucessfully :roll: :roll: :roll: go figure :|
