Report: This is my first report, really wanted to share what was one of the best nights fishing I've had in a long time. 1st cast was sent towards Wales at approx. 8pm on a eerily quiet and very still night on a north wexford beach. I was planning on fishing 1 rod for hounds with crab at distance and one close in to chance a bass. Was just about to lob the second rod out when my other rod decided it didn't like being on the rod rest! Picked up the rod felt a fish swimming away with a 5oz spike so struck and was into a good fish Afer a thouroghly enjoyable fight a hound of 5-6lbs was beached to my delight. Happy out already, I decided to fish both rods for hounds. One of the rods went on every cast the other rod went twice while I was playing a fish but missed them and a few other good takes, All in all landed
6 male hounds the biggest at about 8-9lbs in my estimation, all giving a great account of themselves on my lighter beach casters. Will be heading out again tonight which will mean an early bus ride to the big smoke for work tomorrow. Worth it I think.
