East Coast Bass

Sun Jul 18, 2010 9:11 pm

Tide : High at 6pm

Times : 3.00pm to 6.30pm

Where: East coast

Rigs: 2 hook flappers

Bait: Rag and squid

Arrived down at the mark to see 3 lads already set up and another 8 to 9 off to my left.
Set up cast out and the tide started to rush in had to keep on the move. Next thing i see is my line racing across the water thought what the F**K. Picked it up and bang battle of all battle's bass on landed shorly later about 4 to 5lb some fight thought. Next up the smallest flounder i've ever seen and on a size 3/0 hook.Went very quite then for a while. Then about half an hour before high tide rod tip went over picked up the rod and landed a schoolie. Great day as only the secound time i've ever got bass. Starting to get a bit of a liking for the aul bass. Hopefully find time to get back out soon.
Sorry no pics up my kness in waves after the first. Was getting a pic of the schoolie but let him slip and off he went.

well done freedom ,you caught in though conditions today. that must have been you down on the far right so, pity i did'nt have time to go down ,was too busy watching my own rod which never even twitched. was there with my brother trying to get him his first bass. was'nt a great surf so knew it was touch and go especially as the tide filled. congrats again.
