Report:After bothering to dig bait on Thursday evening, I was determined to get a cast on Friday night. The weather left a lot to be desired but I perservered. After nothing for the first half hour I finally got a great bite and after fighting the fish for about 10 mins, I managed to land my first Smooth Hound ever. This of course made me forget the bad weather and I continued to catch some small flats and the odd doggie as the night wore on. Just as I thought the fishing was beginning to slacken off, I got a massive bite and started to lose some line. After giving a good strike I knew I was into something big and after about 20 mins I managed to land my 2nd Hound. While I could'nt weigh it, I measured it and it was a half inch under 4ft.

. I managed to land another 1 about an hour later but this one was about the same size as my first 1. Totally soaked and wind blown, I headed up to my mobile about 5am a very happy man. I will now attempt to attach a few pictures I took and am heading down there tonight with the hope of a repeat and a little better weather.
