Report:
Having spoken to a couple of guys fishing at Portmuck who were there for a few hours,we decided to gear up for a couple of hours and see if there was any interest. With regret, due to having no bait, the Pollock caught off the pier the day before was to become fish food

. A few hours pass and with a couple of catches lost due to weed and 1 lost rig we decide to pack up and head home (Larne) obtain some live bait and take a speculative look around the coast.
Have both beachcasters reeled in and cleaned up ready for bagging so I decide to bring in the anticrab rig on my 10ft pier rod (up to this point, this rod has caught all of my fish) and find some resistance, not weed but later turned out to be what I think is a doggie? (please correct me)Quick pic taken and returned.

So we head back to Larne, grab some lunch and some fresh bait then head around the coast to see where's busy. We park up in Glenarm and take a look over onto the beach in front of the Police station.. Brilliant! the beach was empty

I finished off the chips and we got the gear out of the car and headed down.
Due to a light breeze and 2/3 of the rods fished having stiff tips,I'm still learning how each reacts to bites, wind, tide and fish so unknowingly first fish at Glenarm goes to Andy,a tiny flattie but his first ever fish

We struggle on with unpredictable rods and eventually my luck turns again hooking a flattie not much bigger than Andy's,he has the pic of the catch.
Around 4.00 and having used much of the first rag bag we decide to pack up again and head home.I bring ole lucky in and strip it down while Andy has another go at the last of the rag. Eventually bring in my beachcaster and Andy's surfcaster to my surprise this time there is another flattie
Took the total to 4 for the day: Two flatties and 1 doggie for myself and 1 flattie for a delighted Andy.
