Report: I have to take the day off at work and try some marks that we haven't fished for a few months now. Kids are all excited cause everytime we go out fishing they have always managed to beat me. They were all geared up early in the morning and ready to go. They packed up their customized rigs from their favorite tackle shop who tought them how to fool fish and trick them into taking their bait. Off we go and drove to the mark. 3 rods were out and I had the first cast before I got snagged and lost my first rig in less than 10 minutes. Not a good sign and didn't encourage the kids to cast theirs. They opted to wait until I had my second line snagged and they suggested we move, while of course having their cheeky smiles while i setup a new one. Drove back 3 minutes away to another mark and we all cast at the same time. In less than 10 minutes Gabriel got his first Pollock and was very happy and taunting me that he got a good sized one again. Then Sofie started complaining that she thought a weed got her line cause its very heavy, only to find out that she had a bigger Pollock and you could imagine how I was being laughed at. It has been the trend for the next 2 hours when both of them are reeling in one mack and one Pollock at a time... Then I decided to use some feathers as well and got 1 mack (saved me from blanking) before we wrapped up. It was great craic and definitely will be back soon there. Kids are asking me when the next session would be. I took some pictures while driving along the coastline, I did see how different it was from our mark just 10 minutes away.
I will keep on tagging the kids them along until I finally get a bigger catch than them...
Till the next post.
Tight lines.
