Headed to Buncrana on wed night Justin had never caught a ray before so I thought that was the spot to try got there bout 8pm and got gear sorted and we both cast out within minutes I had a slack liner and after a short scrap a thornie was landed that made Justin more determined to get one soon after this I had another ray then another I was feeling bad the idea of this trip was for him to get a ray soon the fishing gods smiled on us or so I thought Justin had a bite and his first ray was on about ten feet from the pier we saw the ray Justin was all smiles so was I mission accomplished I thought when disaster struck his line broke things got worse he lost leads rigs and his temper but kept going to finally get his first ray everyone happy but wet and windblown so we headed home on Saturday we headed to Fahan it was windy and wet but we got fishing and had 6 thornes between us I had a small dab Justin had a small plaice and another first for him a small grey gurnard left Fahan at 9pm both of us happy fisher men roll on the next trip
