I have never given a report before because I never had anything to report:). Hopefully thats all going to change now. I got some knowledge from here off a very decent guy on where to fish in Wexford. I had been trying to find out where to go for about 2 years and I finally got someone to trust in me. I won't give his name but he knows who he is and I can't say how thankful I am.
It was only my second time out here and the day was smashin maybe to sunny, but I didn't mind its a lovely area. About ten casts into the session with the xlayer and not thinking I would get a sniff, I got a wallop!! and I walloped!! back (cos I was using weedles hooks well hidden). Fish on and he started to head around a big rock (how do they know I was using braid?). To say the adrenaline was flowing was an understatement. I had to lept across the rocks and any mountain goat would of been proud of some of the moves. Managed to get him under control then had a hard time getting him into the net (high rock). When I stopped shakin I took a couple of snaps although they are not great lense was smashed on the phone typical

but I'm not bitter

..... Hard job again realeasing him but he swam off to fight another day.
Nothing then for a while so I went walkabout and got two more takes but didn't set the hook

I think the hook was a bit small but the fish weren't, I'd say they where twice the size of the first fish.
Can't wait to try again with better conditions cos I think I have built up a wonderful relationship with the xlayers they work great.
