East coast fishstacles

Wed Jun 30, 2010 1:11 pm

People:Myself & Mb3

Duration:8:00-2:30

Tide: polite

Weather:Light Southerly breeze and warm

Bait:Sandeel, Squid, MAC

Rigs:2 & 3 hook loops,

Results:Thornie, Spotted, Painted, Smoothound, Dogs, dabs, flounder, Whiting & Weaver

Report: Fishing was slow enough, not as hectic as the last time we fished this beach but we thought that the lack of doggies could help a raymond find the bait. We fished just before dark and were kept busy with mini species, dabs, flounder, whiting and one big weaver :x and also a few dogs When it got dark We had a few smoothound, most of them small pups and I Had one nice one of around 4lb. I then managed to get a mini Thornie and Mark managed a nice Homyln and then a small painted ray. It was mostly dogs and dabs and whiting until the end and then hit the road home knackered.

Had 15 minute kip on the hard shoulder of the M50 on the way back to aliviate the heavey eyes

Nice one Al and company - a good session by the sounds of things with a nice mixture of species caught, well done.
6 and a half hours - that's dedication for you, no wonder you where tired and had to stop off for a quick nap on the M50 after being at work all day to then go out fishing for that length of time. Or was it that you where tired out trying to answer my questions over the past few days
I look forward to seeing the pictures at some stage :D

Yeah we stayed out a bit longer than expected and was up from 6:30 the previous morning so we were wrecked plus your quiz has me drained of course
Pictures aren't great but I'll put them up anyway, I changed camera settings but it didn't have the desired effect  and I was too lazy to start messing around with it in the dark :D
