Report:
After last weekend’s exploits in Clare and the good Pollack fishin,’ I was itchin’ to get out again.
Snuck off work early on Friday and was set up in O’Connor’s in Doolin at about 7pm. On Doolin pier by 8pm and spinning. In an hour I had notched up two Pollack.
On Saturday, I stopped off at the angling shop in Kilrush and its owner, Michael (sound man), gave me a few pointers as to where was producing, so in gig time I landed at the Loop. Here about two hours and blanked. On the road back I stopped off at Querin and dug a bit of lug and rounded up some peeler. Had wanted to fish the beach at Doolin, but when I got there, there were mountainous waves lashin’ in.
Hit the road again on Sunday and landed on a pier in the South of the county. Wrasse were hitting the crab by the new time, while the Pollack came at a steady flow. In a five hour stint, chalked up six wrasse and six Pollack.
Hmmm, now I wonder can I make it three in arrow, next weekend?

Getting a pretty decent fish count in the past two weeks over Clare way.
Weather has added to the journeys.
Roll on next weekend, I hope..
