Report:
weekend started of with a quick servicing to the car which ended up being two new wheels and re-alignment of front tyres, so what was going to be an early start to the south ended up being a late start to the east, and a quick call was made to ensure fresh bait would be waiting there when we arrived
made it in good time and picked up bait and headed south for a little drive to a mark that was supposed to
produce late evening bass on lure, but alas they never showed up, so a change of tactics saw us bottom fishing.. fishing was quiet with only a flounder to herself and after a quick debate and re-assessment we changed venue to the north of where we were...
arrived at the mark and have never seen so many people at this mark ever!!tried to get a good spot to park the car ended up in the front going into a ditch and the car nicely balancing on its chassis

so a quick chat to a few lads around saw 3 of us literally lift the front of the car back onto the grass..
unloaded al the gear to find she had lost the car keys

and after 20 mins searching every bag and the car they appeared in her jacket pocket
so finally after walking up the each to get away from the masses we set up... and with a full moon to light up the sky rods were cast and the tent was erected (no jokes you guys

)
soon after her spinning rod which was set with a 3 hook flapper started to bounce.. first smoothie for her.. and sudden realisation that she is out fishing me, but one of my objects was achieved, to get her to catch a smoothie

, what was funy was when gave her the fish for a quick pic and told her to put it back she began to run to the water just as the wave was ebbing, and the next wave got her, completely soaked from the knees down

quick change of clothes and soon after her rod bounced again.. another smoothie,

then it went quiet for a while so off to sleep she went as i kept at it for an hour or so longer.. thankfully just as i was about to call it a night myself my rod twitched.. woohoo.. never been so happy to see a fish.. a nice little smoothie.. with that it was time to hit the hay.. or in my case the air bed

somehow managed to just avoid the rain shower that stayed for most of the night..
missed first light

but soon had rods back in the water by 7am, and got a nice dab straight up.. ad about an hour later managed to even the score with another smoothie.. time to break camp which took a couple of hours between showers, but finally headed to gory for brekkie..
the second session was going to be a little pier but when we got there it was full of people trying to fish

so we went a little further to a mark which i knew might throw up a fish or two..
after a nice climb down sand and over a few rocks spinners were donned and casts were made.. i had a few fish follow but no hook up, herself lost my dexters wedge

(thankfully it was one i found) so she gave up and took in the sun instead.. i kept at it and noticed that there were a few fish right under where i was standing, but they weren't interested in anything i submitted to them.. so on with a rag worm on a single hook no weight or anything and dropped it close.. after a couple of quick jerks the rod doubled over and the drag began to give.. a nice little fighter and it took a while to find some where i could land the fish safely, after a quick hop down onto low rocks and grab an back up before the wave came it was time for evidence

and pics to follow
