People: Just me.
Time: 11am to 4pm.
Tide: Just in and then out
Weather: Perfect
Bait:Rag and mackrel
Rigs: Three hook flappers
Results: 1 Smoothie and over 20 LSDs.
Weather was up on Saturday, so I decided to head east to wet a line.
Paid a quick visit to the angling shop in Courtown to stock up on bait.
Arrived at the beach mark at about 11am, just as the tide was filling. Lashed out two rods with three hooks on each. About 10 minutes later got a knock on the near rod and pulled in a dog. As I was unhooking the dog the other rod bent double. Strike! This feels like a good one. Jesus, it was pulling the arms out of me. In near I saw the reason why. Three LSDs had impaled themselves on the hooks. The rod was like an S hook, so bent was it. And that’s the way it continued for the remainder of the session. Dog after dog attacking my rigs.
Still and all a great days fishin’
