People:Myself and Davy (carp angler)

Duration:08.30 - 12.00

Tide: ht 11.22

Weather: fair, with occasional w/nw gusts

Bait:rag , sandeel

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:1 plaice

Report:Originally planned to fish Torr head. There was a lot of rain through the night though, so the rope was going to be a no no . We went up anyway, as we had been told about another spot down by the wee harbour . Found a great spot, but even it was out of bounds, as the rocks were just too wet and slippy. We checked out a couple of other wee spots, without any success - my safety comes 1st I'm afraid !!!! We went up to have a look at the rope, just to see how bad it is. Next thing 4 foreign guys turn up and without any hesitation go down the rope !! Good luck to 'em, they have bigger balls than me. I'd only tackle it on a proper dry day . Defeated we headed for a few hours on Cushendun beach. This was very slow, although apparently it's really hard during daylight anyway. We landed one reasonable plaice, then retreated to Belfast with our tales between our legs !!!

That was a sensible thing to do Captaink. No fish is worth losing your life over.

Wise decision lads, long long time since I fished Torr but had some great results there.
