Report:
Lads... I was in Dunlicky yesterday with four of my friends. I was trying to get some for grilling and stock up on baits. We arrived there 5am and already saw a few easetrn europeans camping and fishing at that stage. We went around to an isolated area and started casting up until 8:15am. I won't go into too much details but here's the result:
Mackerel huge ones minimum 35cm: 70 pieces
Mackerel normal size between 25 to 35cm: 43 pieces
Pollock Huge ones 3 pounds and up: 8 pieces
Pollock normal sizes min 25cm size: 45 (we got 2x full house of pollocks)
Star fish between 5 to 10 inches all released
Half bag of black bag trash. We had to take back a lot of trash being left by those who probably fished there a day or two before. Its good there was no wind otherwise those would have ended in the water. Budweiser cans, plastic cover of feather rigs, chips wrappers and more.
We released roughly 16 pollocks that are small, unfortunately due to the height of the cliff I don't know how they were but hopefully survived the trauma.
This just looks like the water temp has risen. We had some good grilling in the afternoon and getting ready for night fishing.
