Report:
After the Donegal flattie ding dong at the weekend I had some manky bait left and rather than ditch it decided to have another we session. Wicklow hounds or Donegal flatties?

ended up at Waterfoot pier.

9 ton of salmon had just been loaded onto a lorry and the water was awash with scales and some fish offal so was expecting a feeding frenzy close in.

Wasnt let down, as the bait settled it was devoured, countless missed bites. 2nd rod at distance was also being attacked and yet again couldnt make the hook up.
Was eventually rewarded with a 23cm flounder followed soon after by a small whiting.

A quiet spell followed untill the light started to fade. 2 dredgers came in to tie up for the night but after an exchange of words from a local they went offshore and anchored up. More sea bed destroyed

.As darkness fell the doggies started and the 1st one fought like a warrior, didnt think it was a doggie at first.

1 more we flounder and dog after dog, many dropping the bait at the last minute

the rest of the night. A great nights fun was nearly threw away. Might rummage the freezer and do another clear out
