People: Staff Pa and Paul P
Duration: Friday /Sat /Sun Evening 8-11ish
Tide: FT 8.30- 10 pm
Weather: Calm clear mild nights
Bait: Mackeral and Sandeels
Rigs: 1 Hook rotten bottoms and various float and spinning rigs
Results: plenty of Doggies / 1 Red Cod / Small Pollack and a strap conger 10lb. On Sunday evening about 11pm we had packed up and were about to leave when we dropped the last Mackeral into the crabs, a huge 30lb + Conger swam below us cruising along the reef below. We had just dropped our last piece of bait in! Couldn't believe it. I would of jumped in to get it only for the size of the eel lurking below!!! Maybe next time I'll get him.

Barry, I was in JOB's Sat getting a few bits before heading back out to the quarry, I was telling him about the doggies I had on Friday night (8) and saying it should produce plenty of fish. I arrived at the quarry after 8pm so I wouldn't be in the way during the comp. I fished from 8 -11 and had 6 doggies myself. Should of fished the comp!!! Maybe it was too bright on Saturday and the tide wasn't long on the turn dring the comp. Peg 11 with the little ledge is a nice mark with fairly clean ground 100yds out.
There were alot of very large mullet cruising up and down past us just before and after HW each day too.
Cheers for the reply.
