Report:decided to go fishing if i got enough bait.managed to get about 20 peeler.
so arrived at the mark and 3 other people where just setting up. set up beside them.first bait in the water 20;15. 10 mins later a starry it was like this all night but missed a fair few bites.the others three getting a few and missing a few.i met coiser i think that is how you spell it.he took a few pictures and said he will try put them up for me. so packed up 23;15 not a bad night 3 common and 6 starries and a nice size to.i dont know the guys name but thanks for the help lifting the fish out of the rocks

It was nice to meet you Matt. Hope you didn't get bothered by my more than friendly dog ... It was a rough evening but the fishing was really interesting ... Went back tonight, and it was already more quiet ... A few fish has showed up, but smaller than yesterday ...

Just a note on smooth and starry hounds, at the specimen awards this year, it was debated by that some smooth hounds have stars and some starry hounds have no stars.

This is the result of new genetic fingerprinting so now to claim a specimen hound a piece of the fin is required

I'd say you'll have to do what the germans do, and leave your beach towel down early morning to reserve a spot - it will be packed down there tonight and tomorrow

Nice fishing though matt, sure its tricky to hook into them there at times, more missed bites than fish, doesnt seem to happen anywhere else when fishing for hounds.

last week of june should see you pick them up all along the coast, malahide is usually earlie in the year, poolbeg then is worth a go after malahide slows down, but im sure there prob in poolbeg all ready,
but yuo should pick them up all along the east coast at the end of june phill, but as shamoo said dont waste time looking for em, drop us a pm around the time and ill tell you were im getting the from, im sure plenty of others will do to,
