People: Me

Duration: 8:20am till 12:40pm

Tide: 8:18(0.9m) 15:01(4.3m)

Weather: Sunny with NE breeze

Bait: Blueys, party squid, eel, mackerel

Rigs: pulleys penels 4/0 to 2/0. Size 2 2 hook flapper

Results: 2 dabs to 23cm, 5 dogs, a 2lb ray

Report: Very quiet for the first hour until a wacking great bite to a side of bluey on 4/0s that produced a dab. A while later another big bite to 4/0 penel bluey and another wacking great bite producing another Dab. I was throwing the size 2 rig out with a couple of bites but no fish. Had a few more bite after 10 but no fish more than likely dogs. Around 11am I pulled in a ray on one rod to squid/eel and a dog on the a large bluey bait but he wasn't properly hooked nor was the next dog which was brought in after a good few missed hard bites that were slack lining. Around 12 I'd finished with my experimental packet of bluesys and was on to mackerel. About 12:30pm I was hitting smaller jagged bites and landed three dogfish to mackerel. Not sure if this was due to a change in bait or just a change in tide or the way the dogs were feeding. The surface of the water was a little more broken by then and earlier I had also missed bites with sand eel and squid so maybe I can't blame the blueys. Went quiet after 1pm except for a hard snap back bite of a strap that went rock solid and lost the rig.

Well done Donagh, catching a few different species during a session is what you want. Nice one.
