Report:

First report folks so lets see how it goes..........
Had been badgering the little lad to come fishing with me and he finally decided to put down his ds and come with me. I have to admit that i am more of an armchair fisherman myself, not having graduated too far from catching mackeral in the summertime, but looking to get more into the sport this year. anyway, headed down to ardglass for a chuck off the rocks. glorious sunshine, i was spinning and the boy had a bit of mackeral on a float. nothing much to report, i had two wee pollack and the lad caught a wee codling (lovely colour - kind of reddish orange). i have pictures but have left the camera lead in work so will try and upload the pics tomorrow.
In all a very enjoyable short wee session. the boy enjoyed it a lot, even messing around in rock pools trying to feed all the bait to a big crab. i didnt mind - he was enjoying himself. Hopefully ive found a wee partner to accompany me on other trips!

many thanks for all the help and advise. Hopefully the first of many trips!

Was fishing myself in Ardglass on Sat evening from 6.30 - 8.45. It was warm and the water was clear. Fished off the end of the pier where there were 3 others fishing. The other lads were using prawn and getting fish I was using mack on the float at about 15ft and getting nothing. At about 7.30 one of the other lads offered me some prawns and I ended up with 7 fish (4 pollack and three coalfish) all small and all returned. Hope this is the start . Glad to hear the wee man had a good time.
