result me one crab (a blank i believe its called) john 5 seatrout

headed to down patrick head for a bit of mack bashing trying to get some free bait and dinner fished from the rock but no joy then decided to head to another spot for a bit of dead baiting pick up a load of bait . it seems to be getting dearer and dearer . got set up and notice a wee black head of a seal laughing at us the rotten blighter .
anyways ten minutes later my first rod got a almight whallop a i struck and could feel a good fish on it woohoo i was playing the fish for about 1 minute all chuffed with myself when my rod bent right over and then there was nothing not even a the remains of the knot i lost about 40 ft of the new braid i had just put on my reel and some rotten blighter had made of with my gear now i am not bitter but the seal did get it gives him a brutal dose of heart burn . about 10 minutes later john land a louvely sea trout 1.5 lb 5 minutes later another 3 lb sea trout then it went quite for about 2 hours and he took another one 1.75 lb and another one after that around 2lb after this i stopped counting until i land a crab phew blank saved great day out and my first blank of the year

well, you know what they say man. "sometimes you're the worm, and sometimes you're the fish" and no fecker ever equated a seal into the mix . but 5 trout for your mate was a blinding result what baits were they taking man?

no harm i am going out tonight with a seal rig and catch the blighter

Was on the Co. Down coast myself on Sunday. Managed to land 4 small sea trout on the fly despite the v bright weather! Were a few bigger ones among them that i hope will be more obliging next time

Ran out of Baltic Specials and gadgets or i might have had a few more- by F those fish have sharp teeth that are none too kind on my flies. Might have to add a kevlar ribbing to them in the future!!
