Report:
I'll let Bingham report on his session as he's still out there...
Started off at 7pm and set up at the railings, a gale of wind was going to make things interesting tonight. Dan and I proceeded to get our gear set up and first casts in. Waited about 15 minutes and Bingham and Michael arrived.
Didnt take long to get the first bite of the night for me, and I wound in a 37cm Coalfish! Not a bad start at all. Got it measured and photographed and got the little fella back in...
A While passed and I got a couple of deceiving pulls on the rod tip. Before I would have put it down to crabs but this time I decided to leave it and see if the bite developed. Lucky I did as I hit it a couple of soft tugs later and managed a Flounder of 30cm! Result!
Got the baits back out onto the ground and wound in the other rod, to find yet another flounder attached to it! Could it be Donaghadee was turning into Flounder city? 10 Minutes later and I got my answer! Yet another Flounder, this time on the top snood of the rig!
As the light started to go I started to pick up a few more Coalies, all of which were in and around 20cm, Positive little biters on the Affinity twins light tip! Next I missed a Coalies bite but reeled in anyway to find a small shore rockling on the bottom snood.
A less recognisable bite came on the affinity to finish, and I pulled in a nice double of a Codling and a Larger shorey.
Meanwhile Daniel managed a Pollack and 2 Rockling down the side, and Bingham got a Pollack and a Shorey too!
