my mate put all the fish into a heavy duty plastis bag. i dont take any of the fish. he goes home gives the wife the bag of fish to clean out she empties the bag in to the kitchen sink and lo and behold bob geldof and two of his mates looking up at her. panic stations gets a phone call to come straight over. 2 of us and a neighbours stupid jackrussel and i say stupid because all it done was bark at us pulling out presses and fridges took 3 hrs to get the bastards

RockHunter wrote:Great report - true when fishing you get to see lots of sights that you would probably never see otherwise - one time down in Crookhaven, West Cork I bunch of basking sharks can into the small bay I was fishing in and cruised around close to the shore for an hour or so.
Unfortunately there is also a mark I fished last year that seems to be infested with rats after dark - they were popping up all over the place and trying to get into my tackle bag![]()
FisherKing wrote:Nice one eyes, seen an otter last weeks myself when i was out spinning have only ever seen two before a long time ago aswell, class looking wee dude! lots of wildlife about early this year between otters, basking sharks & porpoises! luckily no rats

Fishing a comp at the beginning of last year at the front of the slip in Ballinwilling, reached for my prebaited trace and got quite a shock when it pulled back. Yup, there swinging off the end of it was Roland himself. Well, Messrs O'Gara and Wilkinson didnt have a patch on me as one unmerciful wader clad right foot boot drop kicked Mr Rat up and over the other side of the slip, albeit with my bait and snood in his gob..... Not a pleasant experience, hate the feckers with a passion.

Eyes - if you post his picture & everyone here give him some sticks when we see him next, that would probably calm his over-rated enthusiasm.
