Report:There were strong winds with gusts of over 45mph but with us fishing The Ledge at Waterfoot we had the protection of the Antrim Hills. The conditions were great for the Ledge so we drew our pegs and got ourselves set up. To our surprise there was not a bite for nearly 3hrs till Stan got the first Coalfish of 35cm which unfortunately remained the largest fish until the last 10mins of the match. Shortly after this I reeled in a triple shot and once my spare trace hit the water the rod started bouncing. Things started looking up at this point but it was short lived as it only lasted around 25mins. Soon we were back to searching for the fish but near the end a few good large bites were missed. After seeing these I quickly put on 3 goods lumps of fresh crab and within minutes the first dogfish of 2010 was landed but with that came the end of the match.
