Sat May 01, 2010 9:29 pm

People: Me

Duration: 11.30- 15.00

Tide: ht around 14.00

Weather: Overcast, no rain, bit of sun breaking through, sea very calm.

Bait: Lures, blue kilty, maria chase and xlayer.

Rigs:

Results: 2 Pollack, best around the 2.5 lb mark.

Report: Water was very clear with plenty of sprat around, wasn't much happening then at ht got a Pollack of about 1lb, then a few minutes later got the 2.5lb one, lovely take and a great scrap. I had a bigger one on about 20 minutes later but lost it in the kelp, then it all went quiet.

Nice fishing richie, have fished that stretch (Bray- Greystones) a few times and it has always thrown up a pollock or two, can get a little hairy at times however on the rocks.

Earlsie.

Well done Ritchie, some nice fishing there. :D Brayhead is a mark that I've been meaning to try for a long time but never got around to, I went for a walk up there a couple of weeks ago to see if I could find any marks but the ones I saw looked a little hairy to get down to. Are they all like that or are there some that are a little more accessible?

There are very few places you can get to that are safe, its a bit fustrating looking at marks that you just can't reach and would fish really well, but the spot I was at is fairly handy, its a bit hit or miss at this time of year but if you want we can meet up some evening in the Summer when if fishes better and give it a try.

I know what you mean Ritchie, its certainly frustrating alright but it looks like great pollock and wrasse ground though. Anyway that sounds good though, I'd be up for that.
