People: Just myself.
Duration: 10 am till 3 pm.
Tide: high water at 11.47 am.
Weather: Showery rain and cold.
Bait: Mackerel lug and sandeels.Flapper and pulley.
Rigs:
Results: One thornie ray and one dogfish.
Report:
Arrive at the pier at around 10 am and set up. Lugworm and mackerel on the flapper and mackerel and sandeel on the pulley. Nothing happened for the first hour or so then I got a great bite on the pulley rig. I struck into a good fish and got it to the top of the water. It was a nice thornback ray. While reeling in the fish managed to take line off the reel ( drag too loose ) and swam under the pier. The line rubbed against the concrete pier and it was bye bye fish. Nothing happened till about a half hour after high water when a dogfish took the lug and mackerel on the flapper. I go the doggie in only to discover I had forgotten the camera and the camera on my phone is worse than useless. Packed up around 3 pm and headed home. All in all a good day.

He's being coy, niall.
"Donegal pier" means a pier in Donegal, not saying exactly which one.
