Tide- flooding
Bait- lug and a few crafty peelers by dsull
Rigs- various (including the late.... super secret magic flounder trace! lost at sea)
After finishing work at 6am fishing alone couldn't get me out of bed at 11am luckily the sun showed up and we were away for a session! We stopped on the way to dig the lug at a new spot which turned out to be a revelation! 50lug in around 15mins all good size and it seemed the fishing gods were urging a good day!
We arrived at the mark across a very busy golf course( i suspect a lot of sick certs were out that day) by 1215 we were all set up! It was great to be out fishing in runners and a teracksuit instead of the usual attire! There was very little water in the bay and with the brilliant subshine we didnt expect much action so the spinning rods were brought along to pass the time. Personally I thought maybe 2/3 fish would be about it.... how wrong was I!!!
I put out the super secret magic flounder trace with 3 lug baits into the channel and started to ready the spinning rod when the tip gave a nice little flounder rattle!! I left it for a bit and had a few leisurely casts for about 10mins then returned to pick to land a nice 27cm flounder! I rebait and cast to another almost immediate bite few more casts with the spinning rod to no avail..... it was then retired! The flounder came every cast after that except for two blank ones! To say the least the fishing was was surpassing all expectations it was fantastic! Even dsull decided he'd catch a few including a 24cm plaice! No bass took up the invitation of the spinners but truth be told I didnt care it was such a deadly day out! Aside from a few flats for my elderly neighbour who loves em all were released

ya nice to see a few fish for a change ha instead off the old one or two in a comp good spot that all right o and where did you say you got the lug again
