Results: dogs, pouting, shore rockling, poor cod, long spined sea scorpion, thornback ray

Report: Session on the 9th: Picked up Vinny after work and headed south to suss out a mark neither of us had fished before after some scouting around confusion and getting butterflies in the stomach due to the height of some of the cliffs  we settled on a stretch that put the wind at our backs as the mark opposite was getting hit with random breakers. Seeing as we were going to be fishing into darkness on a new mark we erred on caution. We got set up and Vinny was already fishing when i went to tighten the line on my 525 with a little flick out..... crack  :? we'll try that again tied on a new leader and got fishing.... i'd brought the drop net in the hope of a decent conger so after banging a few out on a pulley with big fish baits in the hope of Huss Spurs or Ray i flicked a conger bait over the side gave it a good soak reeled in to find it picked by crabs... tried a 1up 1 down lobbed out with smaller baits. Vinny meanwhile was off the mark with a nice pouting followed with a long spined sea scorpion. We both got snagged up and had to pull for a break. Vinny then got a couple of poor cod still no fishy for me finally got off the mark with the small baits lobbed out and a shore rockling came in with that i went back to trying for Congers. Vinny the jammey git managed to reel in his lost gear with a nice sea scorpion attached big fat head on him croaking away at us  no conger for me in the end and i was just saying to Vinny it'd be nice to see a dog when he got a doggie rattle and in came doggie we packed up and headed for home. It was worth it to see this mark at first hand and we'll be back soon enough to fish a different stretch of it.

Session on the 12th: With the evening that was in it today i said i'd try the Inner Bay fished it from from about an hour after HT to 30 mins or so before LW managed 4 dogs and a tea bag thorny nice having a mark on your doorstep i think i'll be fishing here a lot after work over the coming months.

Vinny has some pics....

youve some nerve calling vinny a jammy git - the amount of times he has watched you pull the rabbit from the hat is galling

good man for getting out

Feel free was sitting at home cleaning reels and just grabbed two that weren't in the sink  it'd be a crime not to go with the evenings were having and sure it's only aroung the corner really.... Some depth there when the tide drops i'd say a 30 yard castover HT would have you in over 20ft of water it'll definately hold Huss later in the year.... be intereting to see if Tope come in there to pup in a few weeks time!!
