laytown/bettystown 8/9/10/april

Duration:3 hours each session,twice at day time and last one early hours

Tide:all sorts

Weather:very nice

Bait:lug/rag/sandeel

Rigs:all sorts

Results:blank/blank/blank possible one bite each session




Report:nothing worth talking about .
met a few local anglers though,nice to meet yis as i thought i was the only one fishing this hell hole :evil:

Ahh Laytown fished it last week for a couple of hours and caught the exact same as your self.

jeese plumster,,,, that seems to be a dead old stretch of coast :shock: :shock: :shock: your luck has gotta change soon man, or mabey a trip up to port oriel might be worth a bash. it's certinly not for a lack of trying on your part any how.

like all bass fishing marks you have to keep at em cos not many lads will ring around to let everyone know they have arrived :lol: :lol: those blanks will make you stronger :mrgreen:

might just do that,but ive blanked up there many atime too,think ive worked out that there just not into lug as they never come back for a second nibble,would'nt it be nice to be able to catch on your local beech though :!:

another 3 hours at ben head today,same again ,1 bite and never came back for seconds,there definetly not into lug ,will spice it up next time :x

no nothing at all going to try again this weekend if i can escape the house.
I've got flounder on the latyown side beside the coast pub all on mussell/black lug there a few times

tried that spot today and nothing,but while wadding out to cast something very big swirled away, never saw what it was but i have a sneeky feeling it was bass as i hav'nt seen any sign of mullet yet.water was very dirty today.

I hears=d there was a schoolie caught up your neck of the woods on Tuesday evening and I also heard of a Dublin schoolie the same night. You hear anything?
Tried myself last night but absolutely zip myself.

hav'nt heard of any bass being caught yet and i've talked to anyone i see fishing there but thats not to say there keeping quiet, who could blame them,when i stop posting you'll know i'm on the bass,only joking but i just hate to see them being taken for the table .where abouts did you fish :?:

I seen on another topic there where mullet spotted at dollymount the other day so won't be long now.
