Weather:overcast with a 15 mph southerly
Bait:rag lug mac
Rigs:lots
Results:flounder and flounder and more flounder
Report:myself and gordy had nuthin to do and decided to go on a fishing adventure

we met up at 9 am to dig bait and come 11 we had enough rag and lug to fill a tackle shop

headed out to my gaff for some light refreshment and a sambo before the long drive to a beach that was getting hit head on with the breaze

two hours and twenty minutes later we arrived in deepest darkest wexford a stones throw from o2-ford and took one look at the surf and got to setting up our gear like two young lads full of high hopes of some silver surfers landing at our feet
three hours later our tally was a big fat O and we where staring the dreaded blank straight in the eyes
just as the light began to fade the flounder came on the feed right under our feet small ones first then up to 28 cm ,we both where glad not to blank after 3 hours of total boredom

at 8 pm high water came so we decided to call it a night then gordy noticed his rod give a real few nods and started to reel in what felt like agood fish only to find he had nothing on exept a tangle with my line from a crack off two hours previous

and murphy being the man that makes the law in fishing games out of the surf came a fine thick flounder on my lost rig
for some one who preaches about fishing in the dark i should have known better and not wasted 3 hours standing looking at my rodtip in the daylight at this time of the year
