People:Me and my dad.
Duration:From 11:00 until 16:00
Tide:High at about 15:45
Weather:Calm and sunny at first then it became quite wet and blustery. The sea was fairly calm considering the strength of the wind. The water wasn't too coloured either.
Bait:Fresh ragworms.
Rigs:Pulley pennel. One hook paternoster. Size 2/0 hooks. 4 oz lead weights and switching to 4 oz grip lead weights when necessary.
Results:No fish but loads of crabs.
Report:I'm not sure exactly where this was. Somewhere between Bray and Wicklow head. I think it was called Seapoint? Anyway, we started fishing from a rocky headland. That produced little so we moved around the coast a couple of hundred yards to a beach formed in a tiny bay. That didn't produce either. Finally we finished up walking back to the harbour and fished from the top of the right hand side pier as you're looking out to sea. This produced nothing either. I know it was daylight but I was expecting a couple of under sized fish at least. We didn't get so much as a bite - not even one little rattle! Ah well, you win some you lose some
