Kilcummin, Mayo

I fished Cummin back strand last Friday but caught nothing, not even a bite! I fished off the rocks, which look realy good, probably better when it warms up a bit.
This mark looks great for pollack and wrasse with the possibility of flatties off the strand below.
Fished low water to high at 7pm.

Is there any one else that knows this place and info on how it should be fished.
I even walked along to French landing, but hells fire it was far too high for me.
I'd love to have had a go at fishing off the cliff tops but I didn't dare let go of the fence behind me!

the strand itself is a regular competition mark

the main targets being flatfish

hey mikado.me and a mate fish it alot.we r pretty local to there.its is the most useless beach durin these months.later on it shud be ok and contains all the fish that u wud expect to catch.durin the summer the cliffs r ledges r great 4 pollack or wrasse.unfortunately the timing of the year aint great.give it a month r so :oops:

hi mickado,,,i fish that area all year round used to get fish ther all the time,fish are gone scarce in it for some reason down on the beach,give it another month the fish might move in,,i fish the cliffs to got four wrasse and a medium size pollock ther last week,,,pm me we might have a day down ther,,,,dont fish the cliffs on your own !!!!!!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
