fished strangford lough today with my cousin weather was bright and breezy. We fished a couple of marks on the portaferry side for no longer than 2 hours each just to get a feel for the area as we have never fished here before. The day started of very slow

until three marks later my rod doubled over with the first fish of the day a 4 & 3/4 lb. sea trout caught on sand eel. This was only my 2nd ever sea trout and a pb.

for me.
tryed posting photo but it is telling me it is too big and won't let me if anybody knows wat im doing wrong please let me know
cheers

Great stuff Bubba,
What a way to save a blank

I have only ever caught one from the sea.. that was at inch beach Kerry, it was a little smaller then yours but it also saved me blankin after the long drive down there,
All them fishless hours on that beach seemed to vanish when i landed it,
Well done Bubba dude.

There is no bloody fish in strangford lough, amazing, you will get pollack, seatrout and grey mullet at the entance of the lough down to portaferry, but from there up seems to be nothing. Live nearby. Nice trout.
