Good luck with the silver lads. First sign of a SW breeze, have a go off to the left down the twisty road, though I'd say its still a bit early.

Best of luck with chasing the Bass - my last two attempts at Bass fishing have resulted in blanks![]()

The cod can breath a sigh of relief now that your not going after them anymore.
What's that noise? It's the Bass shaking because they know your coming after them now instead!![]()

I think your targeting the Bass at just about the right time as it's starting to warm up abit more now. With the cold spell we've had things on the Bass front have been quite slow as Frank would tell you.
Good luck, I hope you catch a few. I'm looking forward to reading your reports.
cheers mitch hopefully i will have something to reportmitch wrote:nice session seanie ,those codling look like there in great condition ,good luck

The key to watch for is water temp and ther're still dropping albeit gradually. The weather buoys M3 and M5 off the south coast are showing about 10.1C and 8.2C respectively but the inshore waters might be down to 5C or less. There has been a frost almost everynight for the last two months and when beaches are exposed at night the water temps drop as the tides flood. With the continuous frosts these have dropped dramatically, more so than anytime over the last few years. We might have to wait a bit longer for Bass to venture in compared to normal.

I reckon if you were to try on the bigger tides this weekend, an hour before LW, LW itself, and the first hour, you be giving yourself the best chance.
